When you are using refrigerated trucks, it is possible to regulate the temperature to the required level. There are controls which can set a specific temperature which will be maintained throughout the journey. Even if the weather on the outside changes and the temperature fluctuates, the condition within the truck will remain constant. However, this is not the case when you decide to use cooler boxes. This is because the ice usually melts over time and this causes a rise in the temperature within the boxes. The result is that the food in them will go bad since you might not notice the melting ice.
More convenient
If you are transporting large amounts of food, then using a refrigerated truck is more convenient. As long as the food is in a warehouse, you can pick them up using a forklift and load them onto the truck. A similar machine can be used to remove them once you arrive at the destination. On the other hand, getting multiple cooler boxes that can be hired can be a challenging task. The only option will be to purchase several cooler boxes. This is not recommended since you might only use them once and you will still have to hire a truck to transport them to your destination.
